Waiting on Wednesday #8: Shadow of Self

waiting on wed

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine, and specifically spotlights upcoming novels we can’t wait to read.

Well to be honest, picking a book for this Waiting on Wednesday post was a bit hard. Sadly, I’ve been pretty MIA from the reading world for the last year or so… People get into reading slumps, life happens and suddenly it’s been months since you’ve read a book! Crazy… BUT I’ve recently been rediscovering my love for reading and have decided to get back into the blog world – it’s been hard. THERE ARE SO MANY BOOKS THAT ARE RELEASED IN A YEAR! I feel so behind. All the previous books I was waiting on are out; hell their sequels are out! I feel a little lost, but I’m trying.

So anyway. This week I had to do some research to find out what books are being released in the coming months, which is when I discovered something awesome –

Shadows of Self (Mistborn #5) by Brandon Sanderson

Expected publication: November 19th 2015

23848109

THIS IS A THING!??! THERE ARE MORE MISTBORN BOOKS?!

Excitement levels are at an all-time high right now.

OH YEAH AND IT COMES OUT NEXT MONTH!

If you haven’t read a Mistborn book yet then get on that. It is an epic high fantasy trilogy series by Brandon Sanderson that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I 100% recommend.

If you’ve read the Mistborn books, please let me know what you thought/your thoughts on it becoming a series?

If you haven’t, then what are you excited for this week?

Have a good Wednesday!

  1. Oh my GOD, what? There are MORE Mistborn books? I thought it was a trilogy, full stop- but apparently not! :O

I’m currently reading the first book. I’m in a ridiculous reading slump right now, but I hope I’ll get out of that soon so I can finish it. I can already tell (even though I’m just 60 pages in) that this series will be brilliant! x

    • I know! He extended it and made it a series! Mind blown.
But I think it might be more like a spin-off but named as a series since the trilogy does end really well.
I really hope you’re enjoying it!! The second and third book are even better.
