A – Z Book Survey

Tonight I was just have a chilled night of searching the web, reading book reviews and checking out everyone’s great blogs when I stumbled across The Perpetual Page-Turner‘s A – Z Book Survey and I was like “HELL YEAH I’m in!”

Author you’ve read the most books from:

Samantha Young, I devour her books.

Best Sequel Ever:

I thought Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa was fantastic!

Currently Reading:

Die For Me by Amy Plum

Drink of Choice While Reading:

I mostly just drink water (just realised how boring that sounds).

E-reader or Physical Book?

I am obsessed with my kindle. While I was living in England the only time that I actually called my mother was when my kindle broke! I called her in tears at one o’clock in the morning so she obviously freaked out thinking something had happened! Although in my opinion something awful DID happen! Now I just use my iPad to read books.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated in High School:

Dexter from This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen. He was just such a fun, sweet and persistent male lead! He’s possibly my soul mate… too bad he’s fictional.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi, I wasn’t a massive fan of the first book but I loved the second.

Hidden Gem Book:

The Scourge by A. G. Henley

Important Moment in you Reading Life:

Becoming great mates with my blogging partner Meg! She’s the one that convinced me to start this blog with her which has been great fun 🙂

Just Finished:

Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

I don’t like non-fiction.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, a whopping 1037 pages!

Major Book Hangover Because of:

The Diviners by Libba Bray

Number of Bookcases You Own:

Only 1 bookcase, although it’s really big. But I read most of my books on kindle since I only started really reading again when I was given my kindle for Christmas 2 years ago.

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

I don’t generally like to re-read books but I have read through the Harry Potter series several times.

Preferred Place To Read:

I like to read in bed before I go to sleep and before I get up in the morning.

Quote That Inspires You/Gives You all the Feels From A Book You’ve Read:

“There will come a time when all of us are dead. All of us. There will come a time when there are no human beings remaining to remember that anyone ever existed or that our species ever did anything. There will be no one left to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra, let alone you. Everything that we did and built and wrote and thought and discovered will be forgotten and all of this will have been for naught. Maybe that time is coming soon and maybe it is millions of years away, but even if we survive the collapse of our sun, we will not survive forever. There was time before organisms experienced consciousness, and there will be time after. And if the inevitability of human oblivion worries you, I encourage you to ignore it. God knows that’s what everyone else does.” – The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.

Reading Regret:

I regret that period during high school when I stopped reading so much because it wasn’t “cool” and now there are all these books people rave about that I’ve never read!

Series You Started and Need To Finish:

Becca Fitzpatrick’s Hush Hush series.

Three of Your All-Time Favourite Books:

In Cold Blood by Truman Copote, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. I really love classics but I never review them.

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

Jennifer L. Armentrout! Her YA books are SO GREAT.

Very Excited For This Release More Than All the Others:

The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin! WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN!?!?!?

Worst Bookish Habit:

I nearly always read the ending first *cringe* I just have to know what’s going to happen!

X Marks The Spot: Start at the Top Left of your shelf and pick the 27th book

Finger Lickin’ Fifteen by Janet Evanovich

Your Latest Book Purchase:

Losing Lila by Sarah Alderson

ZZZ-Snatcher Book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor. There was just so much happening!

Well that was fun! Let me know what ya’ll think 🙂

Happy reading xo

  1. This is pretty neat! I think I’m gonna steal it :p

Your Kindle story made me laugh — I know how you felt. I got a Nook way back when they were first released and a couple years later, I accidentally dropped it from my second-story balcony. I cried for days!
